Uh-oh. Here we go again.

We’ve been in NC for 5 weeks. Well, not really. We’ve been to Texas to visit family, DC to visit friends and see some of the sites, and South Carolina to visit family. Had a wee bit of company intermittently. Made some “home” improvements. And now we are ready to start our next big project.

Building a guest house. Or a glorified weaving room. Depending on who you ask. The well is dry (again) so man-oh-man, I’m glad I went with the cistern plan several years back. We thought about what we could build on top of the cistern tank room. I remember when it was just going to be a tool shed. But that was before we decided to build the garage last year. All the tools now have a home.

But the cabin is, um, a little crowded with stuff. So, we are building an overflow space! I have a loom and various miscellaneous items from my great aunt Catherine who was a weaver for years. Always thought I’d like to learn how. Next week I’m headed to John C Campbell Folk School for Weaving – Beginning and Beyond. Yahoo!
