We Made It!

So, we got a little zoomy by the end of the trip. We were ready. to. be. home. Watson Lake to Pine Lake Yukon Territorial Park. More vistas. A few more animals (elk, moose, bunnies, Greg saw a lynx, big horn sheep glassed at Kluane Lake, dozen or so more caribou). We got into Alaska and dad and I were done with the camper. We got a motel room in Glennallen. For those who have never been to Glennallen, a motel room is only a notch above camping...but they had BATHTUBS. I took two baths that night and one before I left the next morning :-)

Drove in to the valley and saw Taylor and Matt for a few minutes. COSTCO run in Anchorage then headed down the peninsula for Kenai. 5,688 miles total trip when we pulled in the driveway. So good to be HOME! Put the house back together again (un-doing winterizing and prepping-just-in-case-we-have-earthquake-while-we-are-gone). Washed about 20 loads of clothes, towels, sheets, stuff. Began getting Dad settled in the tiny house. Whew.

Taylor graduated from high school (!) on the 24th and we had 14 folks come to congratulate and celebrate the day. Two days later Greg and I moved back into the camper for a week while we hosted a couple from Australia; a house swapping with HomeExchange.

Greg went to Homer this week for a $20 part for the boat and came back with a new (to us) three seater 4 x 4. Wants to be sure that dad doesn't miss out on any of our fun! The (old) boat always has issues after sitting for the winter. Greg has found/fixed everything but one part he's ordered. Hopefully we'll get back on the water this week.

Figured out that on the trip home we have slept in the camper 100+ times. Why, yes, I do have a spreadsheet for that. And there are a couple of additional Photos. Thanks for keeping up with our adventures!
