We slept in our new home for the first time Saturday night.
It was a rainy night/morning and we didn’t have to trek across the soggy yard
in our bathrobes and slippers. It is good to be home.
No, we are not finished…but we’re close. Our first summer
guests are expected later this week and the reds (sockeye salmon) have started running
in the Kenai River. We need to finish the house so that we can turn our
attention to both.
Greg is finishing the prow window casing. I (continue to)
polyurethane, unpack, hang pictures and curtains. Once the windows are done, we
can put down the floor, trim it out, and move in the last of the furniture.
Yes, we can do that in the next 5 – 7 days! And probably limit out on yearly
permit as well!
Have not been as faithful about digitally capturing our
progress this year; finish work is hard to “show”. But here are a few pictures.
I’ll add more when we finish moving in. Oh, that feels good to say.
