She posts again!

What a busy, full fall, winter, and spring it has been!

We arrived back in the south in time for a good friend’s son’s wedding. Then made a trek to TX to visit the folks. Greg & Dad went fishing…in the pictures those are all different fish. We stopped in Little Rock, AR on the way home. I toured the Clinton Library and Greg tooled around in Heifer International’s Headquarters.

Had a mini-reunion with some friends from UGA days. Where does 30 years go? Shared Broadway Series season tickets with friends. 6 shows at the Peace Center in Greenville, SC. My favorite was Mary Poppins. Of course. Greg took me to an old-fashioned Storytelling for my birthday. “Did” Christmas in SC with the older Miller clan, in AK with the younger Miller clan, and in TX with the extended Hollingsworths. We’ve had the opportunity to share the cabin with more folks than we remember to photograph. Blessed much.

And we’ve been busy with projects. Pressure washed and re-stained the house. New metal roof. Steps for hot tub. Washed the windows and repaired screens. Refinished all the porch furniture. Built a shed for wood pile. Redesigned our closet. Built pergola for front porch of tiny house. Made a new fire pit. Worked on the road.

In March we took a quick anniversary trip to New York. I know, New York in March? Greg brags that I navigated us around that nasty storm. Up the east coast ahead of it. Visit with Laura Jean and cousin Linda. Experienced the Vienna Philharmonic at Carnegie Hall. Memorable. Took Scout-dog to Hannah in Rochester and got to see her new digs (and meet beau!) Skirted the snow on our way to Niagara. Gotta say, there are not too many people visiting this time of year…my kinda town. Then west to miss the rest of the storm.

Another trip to TX. Got to meet my newest grand niece and plant Nanny Hollingsworth iris bulbs with my grand nephew. Meanwhile Greg flew to Alaska, moved the tiny house (!), had an early Easter celebration with the kiddos and skied Alyeska. Then I brought my dad back to the cabin for a week of spoiling.

Before we head back to Alaska I need to finish a real estate class, pamper a few more guests, and Greg needs to finalize the purchase of a new (to us) Tundra for Kenai.

The adventure continues!
