Early June

Put Greg and Grace on a plane to Bismark, ND on May 11. Why Bismark, you may ask? Because he found a truck on the internet that he wanted. They drove the additional 3,000 miles to Alaska home in four days. Crazy guy, tolerant dog.
I stuck around to bask in this glorious spring. Enjoyed a visit with Hannah and her man, Nicholas (aka Nick). Made a little (288 – 4 oz
jars, 16 – 8 oz jars) peach jam with some girlfriends over Memorial Day weekend. Finished a real estate class last week. While waiting for the opportunity to sit for the NC state licensing exam I’ve been a little antsy. Moved around some furniture. Rearranged some wall hangings. Worked in the garden. Re-read the whole dang real estate book. Prepped the house for leaving: cleaned hot tub, defrosted freezer, cleaned fridge & microwave.

I was walking in the park and noticed
these cool berries on the ground. Whipped out the phone and googled to discover they were mulberries. Gathered, took home and made some jam. Hmmm. Have you ever noticed any mulberry jam in the store? Not so remarkable. But I can’t toss anything so looked in the fridge to see what ingredients I had left. Did a search for sour cream and jam muffins recipes. Options!

Hope to take the exam early next week then fly to Alaska. It’s time.
