It’s been a minute…or maybe a month?

Up to recently we’ve been taking Sundays off, and that’s when I’d share the week’s progress. We are running out of ‘warm’ weather so we have worked through the weekend for the last several weeks. Then last week I took a break to

recharge for the final push. Great visit with Hannah & Andi in Oregon!

We have a (freaking $20k) above ground septic! No more carports—both spaces have been enclosed. The tongue & groove ceiling in the living room, dining room and kitchen has been installed. The front porch roof anchors are in place. The front is sided. Kitchen & dining room lights are installed. Lights for the storage room & shop have been wired. Kitchen cabinets are in. Attic has been insulated. The kitchen backsplash is stenciled.

It was 37 degrees this morning so we are right at the cusp of needing to finish outside stuff. We can always turn on heaters while we work inside. I am backing off the we-will-be-here-until-we-finish mantra I have preached since we began this diy project on steroids. We are talking about doing what we can by the end of October and picking it back up next summer. Go look at pictures:
