This is hard. Work.
So many decisions. Choices. Work.
Staying within budget. Work.
Actual physical labor. Work.
We picked out appliances. I wanted black; Greg wanted white; we compromised with stainless. We designed and ordered locally built custom kitchen cabinets. Changed wood, faces, color…three times. Searched the internet for knobs and pulls. Thanks for the shopping assistance from my sisters. Got a killer deal on just what I wanted.
I dug and began shaping a couple of garden areas in the yard. Planted annuals in pots. It’s the middle of June and they died because it is still too cold at night. Jeesh. Mulched raspberries and rhubarb.
Greg and Mik worked their carpentry magic. Side roofs tarpapered. Prow framed and plywood on. Brother Johnny has been a lifesaver. Neighbor Allen got a full-time job and Johnny showed up to fill in the gaps. Many kudos. Look at the pictures and be amazed at what they have accomplished this week. You can actually begin to imagine what our home is going to look like!
