Greg met me at the airport with a bouquet of flowers, took me out to eat then took me home to see progress made on the house. They worked on electrical, plumbing, final outside plywood, and soffits to die for. Saturday and Sunday we tried to go fishing but the water didn't cooperate. So we insulated outside walls. Got the laundry, kitchen/dining, and living areas done.
Jury went to deliberation on Tuesday and returned verdict on Wednesday. Got home late and Greg left for fishing trip with Larry early Thursday a.m. We had a couple of glorious days. I (re)planted bedding plants. Note to self: don't put out bedding plants until July 4 weekend! Finished insulating all the outside walls.
Earlier in the week they put on the fascia, had metal roofing delivered and began with the roof edging. Greg probably should've stayed home and roofed. Nasty seas and not much fish. Returned to days of rain. Oh, well.

Random thoughts: A friend astutely pointed out that perhaps with jury duty and home building my life has (at least temporarily) become encumbered again. Point taken. Insulation looks AND smells like cotton candy. I itch and my face looks sunburned after working for hours with it; spun glass cuts tiny. But it could be worse; at least it is cool here so I can cover most body parts without suffocating.
Just a couple of pictures...I wasn't here to take more.
