Just Another Day in the Neighborhood

Woke up and decided today would be a good day for the Cairns Botanical Garden. Oooh. Tropical garden; much blooming. When one looks-I mean really looks at the intricacies and variety in creation-how can one NOT believe in an incredibly imaginative God? Guess the same could be said about humanity, but we rarely seem to take the time to consider the marvel of differing hues and personalities and how maybe, just maybe, we have as much of a symbiotic relationship with others as the plants and animals, say, in a rainforest, owe to one another.

Here is a link for my flower-loving friends of the flora from these gardens: https://picasaweb.google.com/115749256765182993897/CairnsBotanicalGarden

Stopped to pick up some snacks for the car and fresh fruit & veggies. Sidebar on shopping: our experience with retail service providers has been nothing but positive. Do you suppose that has anything to do with the fact that everyone is making a living wage and protected hours? The mall closes at 5:00 or 5:30. Even on the weekend.

Hung around the house for the afternoon reading and such. Went to the movies in the evening. Went to see The Dressmaker (Kate Winslet) not because it had great reviews but because it was filmed in places we passed through on our outback trek.
