Welcome back to our cool, soggy adventure.
Greg “regrouped” on the excavating project for the 12’ x 32’ storage room. He decided to excavate for footers around the perimeter, build a frame, add rock, concrete, build the outside walls. THEN have the electric meter moved before excavating entire floor. Great idea; I like that he is (mostly) avoiding live main wire—so much safer. But. Have I told you it’s been rainy? All week long he dug and propped and dug and built. Dirty. Frustrating. At one point he told one of his brothers that he has exhausted his knowledge of swear words.
Me; I’m the mudding queen. All the drywall that is in place needs taping and three coats of mud. I spent the week on and off, up and down a ladder taping joints and mudding. The living room, bedroom, and bathroom all have two coats. The kitchen/dining room and bedroom closet have one.
Some nights we can barely raise our arms, or move, for that matter. But we are chipping away and making slow but steady progress. We’re just calling this the week of mud.
