When was the last time I slept until 10 a.m.?

Actual travel days are hard. Up at 4 a.m. In airport by 6 a.m. Flight for Seattle left at 7:30 a.m. Arrive in Seattle at noon. Left for Amsterdam 1 p.m. Arrived in Amsterdam 7:45 a.m. Catch connector to Paris. Arrive at 11 a.m. Sleeping on the plane is not something that I’m really good at. Probably got a total of about 4 hours sleep on and off throughout the flights.

My girlfriends were there to meet me and the adrenaline pushed us all. After all, we were is PARIS! Found our hotel. Had a leisurely meal at an outdoor cafĂ© that involved two bottles of wine, lots of bread and excellent company. We strolled to the Champs Eleysees (with a little help from the metro). Took a Batobus down the Seine to get a lay of the land—Eiffel Tower, Museum d’Orsay, Notre Dame, Louvre. Another fine meal and by the time we all crashed it was close to midnight!

My initial first impression: if this is what fashion is, I obviously don’t get it (what a surprise, huh?) And not only that, my Greg would look a bit like a leprechaun if I wanted him to wear these pointy toed shoes I see on men. Another confirmation that we are suited for one another!

Day two we awoke to birds singing outside our window and lots of sunshine. Can’t wait to see what is next…
