Homeward bound

We’re a couple of days away from calling it a month on the road. In the beginning were wide open spaces. We are ending the trip with congestion and kitsch. My Cowboy crazed man got to watch his beloved boys in blue Sunday in their new stadium. When it was over it took a couple of hours for my ears to not feel like they needed to pop. Too loud!

Hot Springs, Arkansas was next stop. Compared to other hot springs we have soaked in along the way, pretty disappointing. Spent a day in Memphis. World famous Rendezvous Ribs was a positive experience before paying homage to Elvis at Graceland.

The house was not nearly as big as the personality. Been there, done that, didn’t buy the t-shirt. Spent the night in Meeman Shelby State Park. Quiet and pleasant. We don’t have a vehicle in NC. Our plan was to start looking for new (to us) truck after TX. Found one that meets our needs in Memphis yesterday. Headed to the credit union to make it happen. If the exchange goes smoothly, should be sleeping in my own bed at the cabin tonight.

What a trip! Here are the final pictures. And a map to boot!
