Transition

Sunday morning Greg got an early start while I lolled in bed. By the time we stopped to make breakfast he had all ready driven for two hours. Traded wilderness for rolling, rural hills and farmland. Headed to Jasper and Banff National Parks.

K. These two National Parks are pretty, darn spectacular. We’ve spent a couple of days traversing and trekking our way around lakes, to and from waterfalls, gawking at mountains and generally having a dandy time. Our hikes range from 10 minutes to 2 hours and every single one of them have rewarded us with serendipities.

Wildlife watch: at least ten black bears, one grizzly, coyote, deer, elk, (Canadian) geese.

Bicyclists pulling these “hills” amaze us. Headed to Hot Springs for a soak and then cooking some of our salmon on the grill. Did I say we are carrying a small chest freezer full of fish? Cool days and cold nights mean we haven’t had to run the generator much to keep them rock hard. Expecting that will change as we head south.
